On Macs without a notch and on external displays UsefulNotch draws a fake notch in the menu bar, or a floating island like the Dynamic Island.
Try it. This is the island: hover the artwork to see title and artist in the middle.
How it works
- Follows the pointer
- Or stays on the main display, or on the one you pick. When it moves to another display it appears straight in place.
- The island
- As tall as the menu bar. Hover the artwork and it widens in the middle with title and artist. Optionally all Liquid Glass.
- Still like a notch
- It does not slide when you switch Desktops and hides by itself in full-screen apps.
